76-year-old ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star Richard Lewis dies.  

The comedian and actor died at home after a heart attack on Tuesday night.  

Famous stand-up comedian and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Richard Lewis died, according to his publicist.  

Lewis, 76, died of a heart attack at his Los Angeles home on Tuesday night, according to his spokesman, Jeff Abraham.  

In April, Lewis disclosed that he has been coping with Parkinson’s disease during the past few years. 

Abraham said Lewis' wife Joyce Lapinsky "thanks everyone for all the love, friendship, and support and asks for privacy at this time."  

Stand-up comedian Richard Lewis, known for his dark, sardonic comedy in the 1970s and '80s, died Tuesday in his Los Angeles home. He then starred in “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” and HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Aged 76.  

As a successful New York nightclub comic, he appeared on several late-night talk shows. His precise act and effortless dialogue impressed the hosts. On “Late Night With David Letterman” 48 times.  

Richard Philip Lewis was born June 29, 1947, in Brooklyn. The same hospital delivered him three days before his friend and eventual co-star, Mr. David.
